99 Bottles Celebrates One-year Anniversary

Specialty beer store completes its first year of promoting craft and import brews, Washington State breweries, beer and food education, and the love of good beer.

Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA (1888PressRelease) January 15, 2008 - One year ago, 99 Bottles opened its doors to promote craft and import brews, Washington State breweries, beer and food education, and the love of good beer.

During the bottle shop’s first year, over 20,000 customers broadened their palate by picking up singles and mixing their packs of ales, lagers, and ciders—and more than 1,800 have signed up to receive “TheWeekly Brews”, which announces tasting events and new brews that arrive at the specialty beer store each week.

“One of the wonderful things about the store is diversity…not only in the beers, but in the beer consumer. Good beer attracts all types of people. On a typical day, you’ll see retirees, middle-aged men, trendy tattooed and pierced folks, and even entire families,” says managing member, Tiffany Adamowski. “It’s particularly fun at tasting events, when folks are able to sample beer, meet brewery representatives, learn about featured styles, and share their passion for beer with others.”

To celebrate the completion of its first year of business, 99 Bottles is holding a beer tasting on its one-year anniversary, January 20th. The event will feature Rogue Ales, with special guests David “Hutch” Hutchinson, head brewer of Rogue’s Issaquah Brewhouse, and Matt Thompson, regional salesman for Rogue. From 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., individuals will be able to sample five Rogue ales for $1, with proper ID. The featured ales include Issaquah’s Menage-A-Frog Belgian tripel and Bullfrog wheat ales, as well as Rogue’s Morimoto Black Obi Soba buckwheat ale, HazelNut Brown Nectar ale, and Chocolate Stout.
