March 07, 2007 - This past weekend, Chandler played host to the 9/11 Truth’s “9/11 Accountability: Strategies and Solutions Conference”, which was held between Friday February 23rd and Sunday February 25th at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort.
9/11 Truth used this forum to discuss their common belief that the government lied about the September 11, 2001 attacks on the WorldTradeCenter, United Flight 93 in Pennsylvania, and the Pentagon.
The purpose of the discussion was to seek new means and extend practiced methods for discovering the truth about what really happened and why. Pete Creelman, member of the Phoenix-based 9/11 Truth, said that “We don’t believe we’ve been told the whole truth about what happened on that dreadful day.”
9/11 Truth of Phoenix is only one local of many that have developed nationwide as a result of the misinformation and questionable “official stories” that have been spread since the attacks. The Phoenix local meets twice per month in Mesa and in Phoenix.
Over 350 tickets to the 9/11 Accountability conference were sold in advance, and the rest were sold out at the door. This is not surprising, considering the featured speakers who were in attendance, including Professor Steven E. Jones, Professor Peter Dale Scott, Dr. Bob Bowman, Professor Peter Phillips, and John Feal. Further attendees include panelists and presenters who are 9/11 family members, survivors, first responders, rescue workers, veterans, researchers, scientists, authors, filmmakers, grassroots organizers, media personalities, activists, and concerned citizens from around the world.
Topics for the conference were delivered via keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, and films which were angled toward accountability as well as outreach, education, and evidence.
The presence of such a large conference – and the indication that future conferences by this group, and by groups unrelated to the Truth movement will also be seeing Chandler as a potential host city – has had a very beneficial impact on the businesses in the Chandler area, specifically in the hospitality and restaurant sectors
