September 06, 2007 - Bangalore – 3Com Corporation today announced that Mr. Mohit Rampal has been appointed as the new country manager for 3Com-India.The naming of the new in-country management team is part of the overall integration of the 3Com and H3C Technologies sales and marketing teams, which was completed on July 11, 2007.
As leader of 3Com-India, Mohit will be responsible for all sales, customer and partner programs, as well as the day-to-day operations in the country. He will report directly to Peter Chai, Vice-President & General Manager (Asia Pacific), 3Com Corporation.
“By integrating all of 3Com and H3C personnel in India and in other countries around the region, 3Com has created one unified company,” said Chai. “We are very fortunate to have Mohit as part of our management team in APR. With Mohit at the helm of the 3Com-India team, I am very confident that we now have the leadership in place that will help us win in both the large enterprise and SMB markets in India."

As the Country Manager for 3Com India based in New Delhi, Mohit Rampal brings with him more than 17 years’ experience in the IT Networking, IT Security and the Telecommunications domain. He possesses vast experience in building and enhancing the sales operations division in organizations. His exposure and focus was primarily in the financial and commercial aspects of developing new businesses; and running the sales, marketing, product branding, project management, product development and network operations.
Prior to Joining 3Com India, Mohit was attached to Avaya Global Connect Ltd. as their Regional Director handling the entire portfolio of regional operations. Earlier to which, he was Assistant General Manager overseeing sales operations at SafeNet India Pvt. Ltd.
Mohit holds a Masters in Physics from Delhi University along with a Masters of Science in Systems from BITS Pilani and is also a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional). He is an active speaker in the area of security, and has contributed many articles on security and networking.
In March 2007, 3Com announced its acquisition of 100 percent of H3C Technologies of China, thus creating a single unified organization.
