3 New Products Aim To Boost Career Confidence Among Personal Trainers

AFAA, the world's largest fitness certification association, has announced this month the release of its three new programs aimed to help personal trainers and group exercise instructors secure confidence in their careers.

San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) November 29, 2008 - The three new programs are a response to the increasing demand for specialized fitness instruction in the industry, according to the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Among those specialized services that have increased demand include training for special-needs clients, group exercise and online education tools.

Additionally, AFAA is offering some of its products at discounted rates during its February 2009 APEX event. They are the following:

Bone Health with the OsteoBall®
Access to this special-needs market has never been more affordable or easy as it is with AFAA's new "OsteoBall® Training for Bone Health" Home Study. The 8-CEU Home Study includes a manual, an OsteoBall® with pump, and an instructional DVD to learn a variety of resistance exercises. The OsteoBall® kit can be found at www.afaa.com/osteoball.

AFAA sizzles with Zumba®
Zumba®, the hottest new group dance-exercise trend in the fitness world, is now available for instructors who want to be introduced to the course at an affordable price. AFAA's new "A Taste of ... Zumba" Home Study is the answer to the industry's rise in demand for group exercise training at clubs nationwide and for instructors who want to learn the power of Latin-inspired dance workouts. The Home Study is available at afaa.com.

Resistance Training 2.0
Telexercise® is a dynamic online video course for fitness professionals. This online course provides more than 60 base moves and narrated demonstrations of gravity resistance, free weight and machine based exercises. The video clip narratives (more than 180) cover the proper set up, execution, cueing and spotting, as well as offering modifications and progressions for each exercise. This course also addresses the application principles required specifically for fitness instructors to safely and effectively instruct and safeguard their healthy adult clients.

About AFAA: Since 1983, AFAA has been the world's largest fitness and TeleFitness® educator and has issued more than 250,000 certifications to fitness professionals from more than 73 countries worldwide.
