May 03, 2008 - The 2007 GMC Sierra has been pronounced the Best Pick-Up Truck of 2007. It has won this rating based on a number of parameters. Safety, towing power and fuel economy are some of these.
The 2007 Sierra earned a five-star Crash Test rating; has the best towing capacity among half-ton vehicles, and returned the best economy for a 300 horsepower, V-8 half-ton pickup. For 2007, the Sierra has been redesigned, and gets newer styling, more power and more sophistication. Available in Work, SLE and SLT trims, the Sierra comes in Regular, Extended and Crew Cab body styles. It now has a wheelbase that is 3 inches wider and 1.5 inches wider overall.
The 2007 Sierra is offered in four trims –the Sierra 1500; Sierra 1500 Classic; Sierra 1500 Hybrid Classic and the Sierra 1500 HD Classic.
The engines for the 2007 Sierra range between 195 and 403 horsepower, with 4-speed automatic with overdrive and six-speed automatic with overdrive and auto-manual.
