101st Airborne Association invites all Screaming Eagles to the 2009 Snowbird Reunion

Generations of Screaming Eagle veterans and active duty troops of the famed 101st Airborne Division will rub shoulders and share fellowship at a February gathering in Kissimmee, FL.

(1888PressRelease) December 17, 2008 - Fort Campbell, KY – The 18th annual winter “Snowbird” reunion of the 101st Airborne Division Association will be held February 11-15 at the Ramada Plaza Hotel and Inn Gateway. Among those in attendance will be veterans who fought under the 101st banner in World War II, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Afghanistan, and Iraq, including current active duty troops recently returned from a third tour of duty in Iraq.

Hosts of the winter reunion, held annually in the Orlando/Kissimmee, FL, region, are the Association’s Sunshine State and Gulf Coast Florida chapters.

Organized in Southern Germany in 1945 by World War II veterans, the 8,500-member Association holds its annual summer reunion at a selected metropolitan site. The 2008 reunion city was Reno, NV. In 2009, the 64th such meeting will be in Hampton, VA, September 9-13, with the 2010 location scheduled for Indianapolis, IN.
