June 02, 2009 - Copenhagen, Denmark: CAMO Software, a leading supplier of software for Multivariate Data Analysis and Design of Experiments, are reportedly getting ready to preview their latest project, 'The Unscrambler GenX' that may not only give the The Unscrambler® a new look and feel but set new standards for Chemometrics products and solutions.
With the current Unscrambler being on version 9.8, the Unscrambler creators plans to make the next release of their product a major break-through and are creating a new generation products for its release 10 (or version “X” as rumor says it will be called). Speculations are out that CAMO Software will extend their position in the Chemometrics field to celebrate its 25th anniversary in the field of Multivariate Data Analysis.
Though CAMO Software declined to comment this new initiative, we hear from a inside source that the new project is code-named 'Generation X'. Here’s what we know so far: The Unscrambler GenX reaches out to a wider audience, while still maintaining a strong focus on their spectroscopic users. Areas such as Metabolomics and Sensometrics will benefit from the new key features and superior graphical output of the new Unscrambler. The product will also be very process focused, with development being driven by initiatives such as Quality by Design (QbD) and PAT. The product is also expected to be revamped architecturally with open interfaces, integrations to other products and a modularized approach to simplify launches of variants and customizations.
Apparently, The Unscrambler GenX family of products keeps CAMO Software’s focus on its current client base but is also trying to reach a new generation of experimental scientists who are not currently comfortable using this kind of advanced Multivariate Analysis tools.
