“Texas Hold ‘Em” Tournament At Venus Ii In Marshfield To Benefit Boys And Girls Club Of Marshfield

Bring your best game to the Venus II restaurant on Saturday, April 12th for a Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield.


(1888PressRelease) March 21, 2008 - Registration for the event starts at 5 p.m. at the Venus II, but pre-registration is strongly encouraged. The tournament begins promptly at 6 p.m. and buy-in is $100.

The 1,000 member strong Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield provides the area’s youth between the ages of 6-18 with enrichment and recreation programs in a safe environment.

Funds from the Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament will help support ongoing programming and special events for the children at the club.

Venus II
Founded in 1976, Venus II restaurant is in its second generation of operation by the Drosopoulos family. With a multi-level deck facing the ocean and an expansive dining room, Venus II offers an extensive menu of fresh seafood, award winning clam chowder and other entrees in an upscale, yet family-friendly environment. The Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield’s purpose is to establish a safe haven for recreation, which includes a variety of supervised activities for greater than 4,000 youths (between the ages of 6 to 18 years old) within the town.
