Inspired by Hillary Clintons’ current run for the 2008 presidential elections and coupled with hearing the repeated cries of a people calling out for help..…..Boula approached her Haitian-American “dog-ma” a.k.a. human-owner, Yves Marie Danie Baptiste, concerning the procedures one must take in order to run for the presidency of Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
“I-woof!-want-to-woof!-become-the-woof- President-of-Haiti-woof!-because-it-takes-woof! a-female-woof!-to-get-it-right!-Woof!”, quipped Boula P. Castle-Tree, a sassy pure-bred boxer residing in New York City.
“It hit me like a bolt of lightening upon realizing that my puppy was drooling out actual words in between the ‘woof’s’. I mean, this is the first time in the history of the world that a dog has broken through the silence of its voice-box to sound out words found in the American dictionary. Admittedly, I confess being so jealous that her enunciation was far better than mine!, jokes Yves Marie Danie Baptiste,

Until now, human beings were the only qualified candidates to run in presidential elections. Furthermore, a bitch has never before been elected to sit in the Oval office in Haiti. “That-was-woof!-then-woof!-this-is-woof!-now-Woof!”, chimed the barking-words of Boula.
After an intense closed-door yakity-yak-barking session with her fellow doggie playmates at the now famous “The Meeting Of The Animals”….a very meticulously designed plan of action of how a dog and her loyal companions was going to bring social calm and economic riches to a dying nation was as bright as the noonday sun.
Fact:
o Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. 80% of the population lives in abject poverty.
o Natural disasters such as the extensive damage brought on by the flooding in May 2004 and Tropical Storm Jeanne in September 2004 lent itself to further impoverishment of the land which was once a beautiful and colorful island replete with great works of art and music.
o Approximately 500,000 children aged 6-11 do not attend school of any kind, thousands of orphans and dogs roam the streets with no one to care for them and no food to eat.
The ending stats caused quite a stir among the invited canine parties at this underground “The Meeting Of The Animals”. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room for upon discovering these statistics touched upon three soft spots in their tender hearts: little children, fellow doggies, and tasty food.
“Yes, the rumor is true. In observance of Haitian Heritage Month, beginning May 1- 31st, my socially conscious dog, Boula, proposed to me that I officially announce to the world that I would be instrumental in teaming up with her in the raising of campaign funds for her 2008 presidential run for office.
She shares with me that her most pressing issue is to find ways to strategically bite, oops, I’m sorry, I mean, beat her contender----a very smart and politically savvy Mexican who goes by the full name of “Vote For Pedro”. I told her that Pedro has nothing on her because he is missing a stubby-chopped-off tail as cute as hers and that MLMOnlineMagazine.com is committed to donating proceeds from its’ subscription sales to her vision of building a better Haiti.
Moreover, I advised her that she needs only to come up with an equally sophisticated slogan as Pedro or to go for the shock effect that Sean “P.Diddy” Combs concocted for the 2004 elections…..’Vote or Die’, says Yves Marie Danie Baptiste.
It has been reported that Boula decided that her first Haiti project will be supplying the little orphan children with food, story-books, and lots of colorful toys. Oh, and as a warning to her fellow doggies tempted to give into political laziness during her run for office---her slogan message is: “Vote-Or-No-Treats, Dammit!.”
