  • (1888PressRelease) November 29, 2016 - "Credible Justice - Fighting Back" by Gerry Stewart, ISBN #978-1787190733, About the Book: The onset of terrorism within the borders of democratic nations led governments to focus their resources and finances against the attackers. Forgotten, were the cities of the western world, where drug runners and criminal gangs filled the void. Unofficial and unsanctioned law enforcement officers, from the United States and United Kingdom combined to wage an unorthodox war against the offenders to regain control. This book, the first in the series book, outlines how a group of highly motivated individuals, began their quest to fight not only the criminals, but the political masters that got in their way. Starting in the U.K. and moving to the U.S. The team punched above their weight, finding trouble at every corner. This is a story of action, intrigue, romance, humour and moral dilemma.

    About the Author:
Gerry Stewart was involved in two incidents as a full-time police officer in Cumbria resulting in spinal surgery. Though his surgery was successful, it was never enough for him to return to his operational duty without undue risks. His premature departure from Cumbria Police was soul-destroying for him, but he was proud to have served.

Apart from his writing, Gerry has worked voluntarily for Witness Support at the Crown Court. During his counselling training, he worked with clients at a medical practice and gained a Diploma (H.E.) in counselling.

Gerry has experienced life from enforcing the law to understanding the psychological issues that affect victims and also officers. Most people are astonished to hear that he is trained as a person-centered counsellor, which is a real contrast to his previous operating style.

    Excerpt from the Book:
"So you are a coward and a thief?"
    "No!"
"So you are prepared to be a man."
"I am a man, what do you mean?" Smith pleaded.
"An old woman was hurt and may never recover because of what you did, so I'm pleased you can act like a man."
"I don't have a clue what you are talking about?"
    "I think you do."
"Are you going to break my kneecap?" Smith asked.
    "I'll give you a hint."
Smith groaned when he felt cold metal pushing through the bag on his head. He felt an increase in pain on his right temple as the rounded object was forced against him. Closing his eyes, he prayed to a God he hoped existed.
"I'll do anything, but don't kill me."
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't just blow you away?"
"It won't happen again," Smith promised.
    "Not good enough."
"For Christ's sake, just tell me what you want?"
"I want you to give yourself up, admit your part in the burglary and give evidence against Moore and that you saw him hit the old lady."
    "I will, no problems."
"And you won't tell Moore what you are doing."
"Okay, okay, just tell me what you want me to do."
