“Coping With Challenges: Tips For Family Caregivers

South Shore Caregiving Collaborative to hold free workshop for family caregivers on Wednesday, November 8th

DATELINE: BRAINTREE, MARSHFIELD AND WEYMOUTH, MASS…The Shore Shore Caregiving Collaborative, a group of diversified agencies committed to assisting family caregivers, will hold a “Coping with Challenges: Tips for Family Caregivers” FREE workshop on Wednesday, November 8th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Old South Union Congregational Church, 25 Columbian Street in Weymouth.

Kate Granigan, MSW, LICSW, Executive Director of CARE, LLC (Consultation, Advocacy & Resources for Elders) which is located in Marshfield, will lead the workshop.

Ms. Granigan will discuss tips and strategies related to caregiving concerns such as stress; communication with family members; the challenges of long distance caregiving and understanding loss and associated behaviors.

There will be small group break out sessions and discussions on selected topics following Ms. Granigan’s presentation.

A complimentary lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.
