December 04, 2007 - Babs Odugbesan’s new novel, “A Lost Sheep with a poetic mind” is a spiritual journey through religion, the attempt of a man to find his peace of mind.
Alfred Johnston is the protagonist of the novel; though he’s born Christian, he doubts about how real is the God everyone is preaching around him and starts his own personal and interior research to discover what he wants as a guide in his life.
In the novel, there’s not only his life described as things happen to him. Parallel to this, an inner voice expresses what facts can’t tell by themselves, through poems. In these excerpts, King is able to give voice to his creation and his feelings, just letting a flow of thoughts and words coming out. That’s the most original part of the novel and the truest. The author sees it – and he wrote that – thinking to this as the deeper part of the whole novel, where the real story lies.
Babs Odugbesan is now at his third book, the first two being “Miracles at an angle” and “Stolen God”, both un-conventional poetry books – as the authors himself likes to describe them.
He says of his writing that it is guided by God’s words; that’s why he feels he can’t take all the merit for this novel, which is to completely give to his Lord.
He feels he has a mission that is to accomplish God’s will and to spread His teachings through words in prose and poetry. That’s way, he assures, there will be more writings from Babs Odugbesan, giving accounts of how life can reserve many incredible journeys to those who listen to their inner self and are able to draw inspiration from the Holy Spirit.
The book is now available on amazon and on the Internet. For further information, please visit www.a-lost-sheep.com
